About me

I'm Petra Harrington. I photograph people, brands and local life around Shoreham, taking time to make pictures that feel natural, honest and true to you.

How I work

Connection first

Before I pick up the camera, I focus on connection. We talk, we settle in, and we take time. When things feel unhurried, something genuine begins to appear, because there's room for you to be as you are. That's where the photographs start.

Where we shoot

Real places

I work in real spaces: your home, your workplace, your studio, or outdoors somewhere familiar. I don't move you into shapes or ask you to "be" anything. I watch, listen, and respond to what's already there.

What I look for

The in-between moments

I'm drawn to the small, in-between moments: the laugh after the thought, the pause before the sentence, the concentration, the ease. Those often say more than any polished pose ever could.

If you're camera-shy

But what if I hate being photographed?

Most people I photograph feel some degree of awkwardness in front of a camera.

So we take our time. We talk, settle in, and let things unfold naturally, without forcing anything or turning the moment into a performance.

What matters to me

Lived-in and grounded

Photographs that feel lived-in and grounded.

Calm, honest, recognisable

Images that feel calm and honest, and look like the person you see every day.

How it felt to be there

Portraits that show how it felt to be there, as well as how you look.

I'd love to work with you
